I teach Country, Blues, and Rock Acoustic Guitar styles for all levels of ability. Whether you’re a complete beginner who has never even held a guitar, or long-time guitar player looking for some new ideas, please get in touch.

The two most important aspects I help my students with is technique and music theory, master both of these and you will find it much easier to learn and to compose professional sounding music.

Let me know your favourite music and I will show you how to play it. I can transcribe and play any piece of music just by hearing it. The lessons I offer are dedicated to the individual musical preferences and goals of each person.

I have been practicing guitar since I was 10 years old. I took music at school, then a 2 year college course, and then a 3 year Honours Degree in music at The Guitar Institute London (the original London guitar school in existence from 1985 to 2007) which is the highest level qualification for guitarists in the whole of Europe.

I have a total of 7 years education in music specialising in guitar, 14 years of guitar teaching experience, and 27 years of guitar playing experience.

Music theory and guitar technique were the two greatest passions of mine. My study of music theory to the highest levels led me to compose 1hr classical symphony for full orchestra. My study and practice of guitar technique allowed me to master lead guitar with high-speed guitar solos of up to 20 notes per second.

Each guitarist is unique. A person’s own musical tastes is important to how I teach them. Beginners need to start as they mean to go on, and starting with the correct instruction will allow them to quickly progress to towards their own personal goals.

I can provide guitar lessons in Salmon Arm, Armstrong, and Enderby BC.

Everything I teach is professionally demonstrated, carefully explained, and handwritten for you to take home and continue to practice. If you have particular songs in mind, I can show you how to play them just from hearing them.

Lessons are $50 per hour,

Each lesson is paid for at the end of the lesson. I can keep regular days and times reserved for lessons once a week or once every two weeks.

If you don’t have a guitar of your own, I have a spare guitar for you to use during your lesson.

You don’t need to be able to read music to have lessons.

If you have an electric guitar, you don’t necessarily need an amplifier in order to learn.

I teach adults as well as children. All ages, all levels, and all styles welcome.
